I dive into user research to uncover insights and develop a deep understanding of users and the problem space, facilitating empathy throughout the process.
I encourage a culture of exploration and experimentation, looking for diverse ideas and concepts before refining and iterating on the most promising ones to ensure they effectively address user needs and evolving requirements.
I embrace continuous improvement, keeping an eye on designs post-release to keep them aligned with user needs, assess UX outcomes, and stay responsive to changing circumstances.
I enjoy work that lets me play in a big, ambiguous space and requires me to learn and distill information. The caretaker apps at Circulo Health are a great example. I had the freedom to chase down the answers in any way I saw fit, and it led to several wins for our users, the team, and the business.
At Learning Ally, a lot of my strategic plans flew out the window! As the experience lead, I had to get scrappy about how to make meaningful change in the education space.
My strategy for Hagerty's homepage design shocked everyone, including me! I love when research reveals new insights and facts that keep me learning, humbled, and surprised. It's the part of design that fuels my curiosity and my desire to build the right things.
One of my favorite examples of this is from Hagerty, when I put on my detective hat and followed a trail of analytics from initial scent, to interviews, to prototypes to get down to the real problem.
